Two of our cadet fencers (aged under 17), Julius Herzhoff and Wai Ling Chan, represented New Zealand at the 2011 Asian Cadet Fencing Championships in Bangkok Thailand from 4th to 13th March 2011. They competed in the foil and epee.

The 2011 Fencing Central Championships; Men's Foil - Hamish Clarke 2nd, Ben Wilkins 8th; Men's Epee - Ben Wilkins 8th.

Fencing South Championships (Dunedin); Men's Foil - 1st Hamish Clarke

NZ Secondary Schools: Wai Ling Chan - 1st Women's Foil, 1st Women's Epee

NZ Junior Championships; Wai Ling Chan - 1st Women's Foil, 1st Women's Epee

Fencing Mid-South Junior Championships; Men's Junior Epee - Isaac Officer 1st, Lucian Nightingale 2nd, Julius Herzhoff 3rd; Junior Men's Foil, Isaac Officer 2nd.

A full program of training and regional competitions are available for novices, age groups, individual and team events continues.

Regular performance training for competitive fencers will continue in 2011. Please discuss your requirements with the coaches.
